© 2008 Acuity Audio Visual Acuity has established direct vendor relationships with many major video, audio, and control system equipment manufacturers including Smart Technologies and AMX. We have arrangements with construction contractors, electricians, and custom millwork craftsmen. We can provide concept to acceptance audio visual services.
Business Partners - Acuity AV has become an "integrator's integrator" providing engineering, installation, and equipment as needed to companies who market our skills as a subset of their own. We provide pre-sales engineering to ensure that what is bid will work and meets the customers requirements. By combining our expertise and capabilities with their core expertise areas, companies bidding large commercial or government projects can subcontract portions or all of the audio-visual systems design and installation. We represent our business partners on the customer site and do our best to make them look good. Most of our current business is repeat business from our established partners.
Personnel - Acuity is owned and run by audio-visual professionals with over 60 years of combined experience in communications, video distribution, computer graphics projection systems, control systems, and audio systems. Our collective experience encompasses command and control scenarios, board room presentation systems, distance learning classrooms, and dedicated video conferencing rooms. At Acuity AV every level of project and corporate management have experience in the systems integration that they are selling or managing. The Backgrounds of Some Key Personnel Include:
Tom Schultz Tom's current duties include supervision of the day-to-day budgetary and personnel management issues. His forte is managing the on-going relationships and expectations of our business partners. Tom's experience started in the Air Force in the White House Communications Agency (1990 to 1992) performing high pressure, mission critical setup and support of deployable data communications gear for the President and Vice President of the United States. From there he moved to Washington D.C. area audio-visual contractors (1992 to 1998) where he designed, bid, integrated, and supported audio-visual and video conferencing systems for customers such as the United States House of Representatives and the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA).
Greg Baxter Greg's current duties include project engineering and supervision of the engineering staff. He provides a solid engineering base with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering and 18 years experience in command and control, presentation, video conference, and distance learning situations. Greg's initial job out of college was working on 32 track recording consoles then he migrated to engineering digital class 5 central office switching equipment. This combination of communications and audio was a natural fit for video teleconferencing when it began to emerge as an industry. Greg has designed and installed systems for the Pentagon, the Old Executive Office Building of the White House, Strategic Air Command, NASA and many other commercial and government customers.
Edward D. Craig Mr. Craig ("Eddy") has been integrating audio, video, control, and communications systems for twenty years. Eddy provides Acuity with Sales engineering, project management, and quality control. A perfectionist, Eddy likes to be involved in jobs from start to finish. Like his associates here at Acuity, Eddy has been responsible for system designs and implementations in Pentagon Crisis Coordination Centers, underground command centers in Korea, video conferencing systems for the U.S. Navy AEGIS program and numerous corporate boardroom systems.
